Running Start
Running Start allows Washington State high school juniors and seniors to take college level classes at a community college TUITION FREE, while earning dual high school credit.
Please view this informative video that describes dual credit options available to Edmonds School District students.
Students at EHK-12 take advantage of Running Start for a variety of reasons. For some, it is an opportunity to take rigorous coursework and/or classes that are not available on our campus. Many students participate as full-time Running Start students, earning a 2-year college degree and their high school diploma at the same time.
Students must meet the entry requirements determined by each community college. Please familiarize yourself with the community college Running start webpage of your choice. EHK12 hosts an informational Running Start meeting every spring.
Independent homeschoolers living within the Edmonds School District boundaries may enroll in Running Start through EHK12.
Please contact Emily Pool, Running Start Coordinator, with any questions.
