Out of District

We are currently placing all new out-of-district students in our entry pool for the 2024-2025 school year.

Out-of-District enrollment at Edmonds Heights K-12 is capped at 40% of total enrollment.  When out-of-district enrollment exceeds 40% of total enrollment, families who reside outside of the Edmonds School District boundaries who are interested in enrolling their children at Edmonds Heights K-12 may place their children into an entry pool.

Out-of-district Entry Pool FAQs:

How do families get added to the entry pool?

  • To qualify for the entry pool, a family must have watched the virtual Edmonds Heights tour/introduction, attended an in-person tour, and emailed the registrar of their intent to be added to the list.

How are families in the entry pool selected?

  • Enrollment is not selected on a first-come-first-enrolled model
  • Enrollment is determined based on capacity for new students in a given grade band.  The grade bands are kindergarten-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade.

How will a family know if they’ve been selected?

  • Families will be notified by the registrar if their child has been selected from the entry pool and will have 48 hours to accept or deny enrollment.
