Attendance

Class Attendance:

Please complete this form when your student is absent from class. You may also call the office attendance line at 425-431-4685.

Weekly Contact:

Edmonds Heights K-12 is an Alternative Learning Experience Program (ALE). One of the requirements of being an ALE is that students have weekly contact with a certificated teacher as outlined in the state rules- WAC 392-121-182.

At EHK-12, students meet the weekly contact requirement by being enrolled in and attending a certificated teacher class (includes Advisory Class). Every student, except full-time Running Start students, must be enrolled in at least one certificated teacher class (includes Advisory Class). Students who do not meet the weekly contact requirement for 20 days are considered “truant” and may be referred for a truancy petition with the court.

Truancy Guidelines for ALE programs:

New Truancy Guidelines go into effect March 2021. More details here: TRUANCY 2021-2022.pdf
